Doug has
spent many years learning about art. From history to techniques, Doug has
studied not only the artists of our time that he admires, but also those revolutionary
masters whose styles forever changed the world of art. Doug's desire to
learn is only surpassed by his desire to pass his knowledge on to others. Through the
Loveland
Academy of Fine Art, he is able to do just that.
"For me, the greatest aspect of teaching is seeing the light go on in a students eyes, and knowing that you've made a connection." By showing many different techniques and methods of problem solving, Doug tries to give his students not only knowledge, but understanding. Doug has taught students from all over the country in workshops covering various aspects of painting and drawing in a direct approach. He currently commits to only one class a year, his next workshop will be:
